IMPORTANT WARNING - EMAIL SCAM - ALL ADVERTISERS PLEASE READ
The scam goes something
like this:
You get an email from
someone usually outside the country saying they will buy all of your
goods. They say that payment in the UK will be no problem and
that you need not worry about shipping as they will arrange for a
carrier to pick the goods up.
The sting comes when
in subsequent emails they explain that someone resident in the UK owes
them say £3,000. They will get them to pay the full £3,000 to you by
cheque and then ask you to deduct the cost of the goods and forward a
cheque for the balance to their representative in the UK. They offer
to pay you an additional £50 for your trouble. At this point they
request sensitive address and bank details - enough said. Tell
them to get on their bikes.
